COURSE INFORMATION
This training course and assessment is designed to:
- inform participants of basic safety and theory fundamentals.
- demonstrate practical methods for the safe operation of the plant, and test competence.
Where applicable participants may be able to gain confidence and experience under the instruction of competent operator/s to acquire the necessary skills.
This will lead to successful completion of a competency assessment for a Qualification Card (Licence).

COURSE CONTENT THEORY
• Acts and Regulations
• Operational and safety Checks: planning, pre-start, after start / Check yard/job site
• Hazard identification and control
• Transport to and from job – Driven or truck/ trailer
• Location of plant – Operating, parking, traffic control, ground conditions
• Operation of plant
• Shut down procedures
PRACTICAL EXERCISES
• Pre-operational and After-Start checks of plant and yard/job site
• Planning specific to the task - familiarisation with plant
• Basic driving and operational exercises
• Basic and Advanced Operation including:- periodic checks during operations;
• Pedestrian and road user safety and hazard control
• Avoiding damage to machine and environment
• Parking – obstruction and collision avoidance
• Shut down procedures – loading onto truck &/or driving to base
Attachment Training
Full training in all safety aspects and precautions
- Basic maintenance
- Assessment / training in all applications of the attachments
COURSE AND ASSESSMENT
This program will include a combination of group discussions, demonstrations, explanatory sessions and practical exercises. Assessment is conducted by Licensed person/s and we have third party appeal procedures in place that you might access if you disagree with any assessment outcome.
