This course meets all the Civil Air Safety Authority requirements for registration or re-certification to ship or accept dangerous goods by air transport.
It covers identification and handling, relevant information for all involved personnel, safety precautions and equipment, and compliance with the applicable statutory requirements.

COURSE CONTENT - THEORY
- Acts and Regulations

- Brief overview of all classes of Dangerous Goods.
- “Hidden” Dangerous Goods
- Item and Risk identification shortcuts (familiarity of hazards).
- Is it allowed to fly??
- Packaging for Transport and Compatibility.
- Labelling and Marking requirements.
- Documentation - in detail.
- How to get it to the airport - the link with Road Transport.
- Theory Assessment
PRACTICAL EXERCISES
This involves applying the practical methods to above topics:
- Dangerous Goods demonstrations
- Packaging, labelling and documentation workshops
- Practical Assessment
ASSESSMENT
Assessment is against the National Standard and Assessment Instruments, which are accepted in all states and territories. Assessors are fully licensed and accredited and we have third party appeal procedures in place that you might access if you disagree with any assessment outcome.
