ORDER PICKING TRUCK TRAINING

COURSE INFORMATION

This program has been designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to safely and competently operate an Order Picking Truck in a warehouse. It is designed for participants who have some experience in the operation of Order Picking trucks under the supervision of a licensed operator, and may require some training prior to competency assessment for their National Licence. This will be completed in the following manner:

•  The theory of correct operation of an Order Picker will be covered, explaining any areas that participants are unsure about prior to a Theory examination. Emphasis is upon safe and effective operation of the plant.

•  Appropriate demonstration and training in the practical components of safe and effective Order Picker operations. Participants are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the plant and area of operation prior to undertaking a full skill assessment. Participants are then assessed in the practical component.

Participants should gain the expertise to allow them to successfully pass a theory and practical examination for a National WorkSafe Licence.
